Before you buy learn about the differences between the three different sizes

The Manta Ray Angler is a series of sit-on-top kayaks built by Native Watercraft. These kayaks have extremely well designed hulls that provide super efficient paddling. Great for paddling through rough and choppy waters even as 25 mph winds smash you in the face. The efficient paddling also makes these kayaks great for anglers who paddle long distances. The ease of paddling is one of the greatest asset built into this kayak.

But before buying you should be aware this Native Watercraft series comes in three different sizes:  11-foot, 12-foot and 14-foot.

Manta Ray 12 Angler Kayak Camo review

All three are quality built and include many features any angler would appreciate. For the most part all three sizes are very similar but slight differences do exist which can make or break your level of satisfaction and overall experience out on the water.

The following review will help explain the differences so you can better decide which is the best choice for you.

The most popular Manta Ray Kayak Size

By far the 12-foot Angler Kayak is the most popular out of the three.

In and out of the water its far more manageable than the larger and heavier 14-foot version and also feels more balance in the water. Whether fishing from the DVC Deluxe seating or standing up it has all the utility you need for a great day out of the water.

Note: If you were considering the 11-foot version. This is great kayak but is not a fishing kayak. So if you are an angler don’t order this one online by mistake.

Below the video you will find a list and a review of the main features and also the specifications included with the 12 footer. If you are interested in reading a review of the 14-foot version you will also find a link to this review below.

When reviewing a kayak we try to find the best review video to include. This allows people to actually see the kayak and get a better before they decide to buy.

The video below isn’t the best review video but what it does a good job at showing is how highly customizable this kayak is.

Manta Ray 12 Angler Kayak Features and Specifications

DVC Deluxe Seat - One of the best seats ever on a kayak. This adjustable seating offers both superior back and thigh cushioning. Another plus is its ventable, meaning if it does get wet it doesn’t hold the water. Great for keeping your back side both comfortable and dry.
Groove – An exclusive feature. The groove makes customizing your fishing kayak with different accessories a sinch. Dont drill holes to mount your accessories slide them in the groove.
Easy Foot – This is all about being able to adjust the foot bracing to the appropriate size and location that make you the most comfortable.
Tag Along Wheel – a built in wheel makes lugging around your fishing kayak a thing of the past. Who wants to carry a 70 lbs kayak when you can simply pull it behind you?

Where should you buy a Fishing Kayak

There are two choices, at a local sporting goods store or online. Both have there benefits. If you decide to buy the  Manta Ray 12 Angler Kayak at a local store then you will be able to sit in it and get a good feeling on how it will feel. But it would be wise to fist call the store to make sure they carry this model before you waste your time and gas money traveling there.

If you buy online you are sure to get a much better price. Probably saving 15 – 20% when considering, time spent, gas money traveling to a local store and also taxes you will pay locally. If you have done your research and are sure this is the kayak for you then buying it from Amazon would be a good choice.
