Complaints on the Intex Challenger K1 Kayak
Let’s see if there were any major complainers and sum them up.
#1. One of the major complaints we have seen from more than one customer… This inflatable kayak is lopsided. On the bottom one side holds more air than the other making it very difficult to balance in the water.
Solution: As with anything, it’s completely possible there are a few defective models sold to customers. However if this was a huge problem there is absolutely no way this inflatable kayak by Intex would have received so many 5 and 4-star ratings.
If you do buy this inflatable kayak and you notice there is some lopsidedness. You need to check the valves on the bottom. Make sure they are completely closed and you may also need to check the stems on these valves closely to make sure they are pulled flush against the opening.
#2 Compliant: Just to sum things up overall. Most of the complaints we have read, seems people are expecting way too much from a $100 kayak. You need to realize what you are buying.
This is an inexpensive kayak that will work in the water and provide some fun for kids but this is nothing high-tech.
